Artist Statement
“All art is first surface and symbol, but it can also be physically interactive. By playing with light, and a variety of media and techniques, I’m interested in manipulating the color, texture, translucency, and reflectivity of surfaces so that they become animated and charge the space with an interactive energy. A line of shadow, the angle of light, the position of the viewer, can all - momentarily - change the nature of the piece and the surrounding environment.” -Dennis Haugh
